Nick serves as Special Counsel at Georgiadis Lawyers heading the Family Law and Local Government Law and Governance Sections.

Nick began his career working on staff at the University of Adelaide Law School helping administer the Uniserve Legal Research portal in the 1990s.

Since being admitted to the South Australian Supreme Court and High Court in 2002, Nick has concluded thousands of cases as both Barrister and Solicitor including a number of notable appeals before the Supreme Court.

Prior to joining Georgiadis Lawyers as Special Counsel, Nick acted as the founding and Principal solicitor of a medium sized South Australian firm focused on assisting low income clients. Nick continues to volunteer on several boards focused on drug rehabilitation and low income housing.

Nick is regularly sought for advice with respect to complicated legal matters and is always happy to speak with you regarding your matters.

 

Personal Interests

Q: What away from work gives you the most personal satisfaction?

A: There’s nothing better than getting out a picnic at Carrick Hill and spending time with friends and family.

Q: What gives you the most satisfaction in the work you do?

A: Some people like painting artwork, or music as art – I love the artwork and satisfaction of preparing a beautifully crafted Court application.

Q: What has been your favourite place you have visited?

A: Saint Petersburg, Russia (as an exchange student in 1990!)

Q: If you could travel back in time to any era, which would it be and why?

A: I’ve done a family tree & I’d love to go back to visit some relatives – I have some back in the 1800s in Missouri that I’ve researched for months!
