Dimitrios (Dim) Georgiadis
Dimitrios commenced legal practice in 1984. Over the years he has advised a substantial number of business clients.With a keen interest in business, property and wine/vineyard investment, Dimitrios undertook 3 years of study with the Australian Securities Institute. This adds considerably to the advice and services offered to clients. As a director of many companies, both private and public, he has a sound understanding of corporate matters. Dimitrios holds a security dealers licence with ASIC.
Dimitrios has also developed a substantial client base in liquor licensing and gaming matters along with industrial relations matters. Dimitrios is a no-nonsense, efficient and effective lawyer and relates well to his clients.
Brenton Grant
Brenton Grant was admitted as a Legal Practitioner in 1997 and completed his Law Degree at Flinders University. Brenton is a lateral thinker who applies a commercial approach to all of his matters. He is known for his efficient and cost effective delivery of advice in his commercial and business matters, whether it be Commercial Litigation, Property Law, Leasing, Franchising, Business Disputes or Restructures.He has acted for both Franchisors in preparing their documentation and ensuring compliance with the Franchising Code of Conduct and has also represented Franchisees in advising on franchise documentation before they commense their new venture.
Brenton has also completed mediation courses and is able to use his skills in that area to assist in resolving matters on a commercial basis where appropriate. He has a vast range of clients from individuals, small businesses and developers of National Companies. He prepares security and mortgage documentation for an International Bank of which the firm is one of its few panel solicitors and has prepared Joint Venture Agreements and contracts for large scale developments such as apartment buildings.Brenton is a member of the Law Society of South Australia and on occasion lectures to Law Graduates as part of the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practise.
Roisin Reilly
Roisin graduated in Law with Honours at the University of Adelaide having obtained high distinctions and the highest aggregate scores in a number of subjects. She won numerous prizes for high academic achievement including, two Dean’s Certificates, The Law Book Company Prize and three Thomson Legal and Regulatory Student Prize Packages.After completing the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice she was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2003. She is a member of the Golden Key Honour Society, an invitation only International Academic Organization, that offers official recognition of high academic achievement.Since graduating Roisin has worked as a tutor at Flinders University and has judged Practical Legal Training Advocacy assessments at Flinders University. Roisin has also completed alternative dispute resolution courses at Adelaide University and in the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. Roisin practices Financial Services Law, Corporate, Commercial & Property Law and also practises in the areas of Family and Criminal Law. An integral part of her role involves drafting of Product Disclosure Statements (“PDS’s”) and Prospectuses (including combined PDS/ Prospectuses) for issuers of financial products and services and conducting Compliance Reviews of the same.
Roisin advises clients providing financial services to retail and wholesale clients on the impacts of financial services reform legislation on their business and whether companies are required to hold an Australian Financial Services License (“AFSL”) and where necessary prepares AFSL applications or variations to existing AFSL attending to lodgement and liaising with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (“ASIC”).
Roisin routinely sets up public and proprietary companies and prepares company constitutions and related documentation to register managed investment schemes including leases, licence and loan agreements. Roisin also has expertise in drafting a range of commercial contracts and sale and purchase of business agreements.
The types of Family Law Property Settlements she administers involve estates of a considerable monetary range generally comprising of diversified assets, various properties, shares managed investments, superannuation entitlements requiring calculation, assets held pursuant to company or family trust deeds often where one spouse’s interest must be assigned to effect the settlement or where the value of a commercial business is in dispute.
Arthur Koufalas
Arthur Koufalas graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Computer Science degree in 2000 and a Bachelor of Laws degree in 2003. He was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2003 and admitted to the High Court in 2004.Arthur practices almost exclusively in the area of Family Law dealing both with married and de facto couples and can offer assistance in both financial and children’s cases. Arthur also works in the areas of Wills and estate planning including Powers of Attorney and Guardianship. Other areas of law he has been engaged in include criminal law, traffic law, and employment law. Arthur is committed to achieving the best possible results for his clients. Arthur is a member of the Law Society of South Australia. Outside of law, Arthur enjoys sporting activities, particularly soccer and running. He is also fluent in Modern Greek.
Greg Morcom
Practising almost exclusively in Criminal Law at Georgiadis Lawyers and having previously worked in Chambers as well as the Legal Services Commission of South Australia, Greg has an expansive knowledge on a broad spectrum of criminal matters ranging from traffic infringements to murder.Greg is a client orientated lawyer who seeks the best possible outcome for his clients. He is a member of the Law Society of South Australia and is admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia as well as the High Court.
Greg graduated from Flinders University with a double degree in Law and Legal Practices and Behavioural Science (Psychology). His studies and electives revolved around criminology and the practice of criminal law. He is also a qualified Youth Worker having completed a Certificate 3 in Community Health and Services (Youth Work).
Graeme Kirkham
Amelia Liev
Amelia Liev graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2006 with a double degree in Arts (Asian Studies) and Law, and was admitted into the Supreme Court of South Australia in early 2007. Since this time, she has continuously worked in private practice, focusing her skills and attention into the realm of Plaintiff’s personal injury. She specializes in such areas as motor vehicle accident claims, public liability claims and claims pursuant to the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1986.Amelia is a competent and compassionate lawyer who strives to obtain the best possible results for her clients.
Amelia is a current member of the Law Society of South Australia and the Australian Lawyers Alliance and is also a qualified mediator. In addition to her legal skills, Amelia also speaks fluent Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
Outside of Law, Amelia enjoys going on road trips and browsing antique markets.
Maria Demosthenous
Maria Demosthenous commenced working with Georgiadis Lawyers in April 2005 whilst finalising her studies in law. Maria graduated from Adelaide University with a Bachelor of Laws in December 2007, completed her GDLP in 2008 and was admitted as a solicitor in October 2008. Whilst working with Georgiadis Lawyers Maria has developed excellent skills in the field of personal injury. Her compassion for clients and her understanding of the law allows her to work with clients and obtain the absolute best for them in their claims.Maria is a member of the Law Society. In addition to her legal skills Maria is also fluent in Greek.
Maria enjoys make-up artistry as a hobby and in 2005 completed Certificate II in Make-up Artistry.
Andrew Johnston
Andrew graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice in early 2008 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia in October 2008.Prior to joining Georgiadis Lawyers in 2008, Andrew gained considerable legal experience through his participation in the Australian Government Attorney General’s Department Clerkship Programme, a programme where candidates are selected by their high achievements and ability to draft concise and thoroughly researched legal documents.Andrew has also previously acted as a volunteer advisor with the Young Workers Legal Services where he gained experience in employment law and developed his professional yet friendly manner with clients.
At Georgiadis Lawyers, Andrew works closely with senior solicitor Brenton Grant in matters associated with Commercial and Property Law. Andrew is also entrusted with the firm’s debt recovery section and has a sound understanding of family law and personal injury matters.
When not practising law, Andrew enjoys a number of sporting activities, most notably as a keen and experienced snow skier.
